I can't take full credit for this I heard the idea on The Edge Radio!

Unapreciated

Here comes the final poem!

Unrecipricated

When you call me on the phone
You sound so course like I'd left you alone
For a million years to fend for yourself
But you always put my opinions on a shelf
You've seemed to have followed a stick into darkness
Yet you try to act like nothing's amiss
I can see on your face the pain day to day
So at night I cry and in your name pray
That you discover the rotting nest on which you dwell
And that your heart has not turned into a dark well
With a false smile I try to lift you up
But inside I'm being eaten and can't catchup
I imagine you can't sleep at night
But I'm hoping your sleeping alright
When you don't call or write my heart sinks like lead
Especially when I think of the broken vows with dread
When I say I love you and there's a pause
I can't help but wonder if I've broken some clause
That stops your love from being focused on me
Or perhaps the guilt prevents that glee
Until you open up I'll have to stay away
And the threads of our relationship will slowly fray
I implore to you that time is running out
I wish I could get up and to you shout
"You haven't ruined my life, at least not that bad,
But the worst thing would be losing you, that makes my life sad"
Until the day those words ring clear
I'll have to prevent myself from getting near.

Poem Two: Careless
07.15.04 (5:57 pm)   [edit]

Careless

You take my feelings into account after yours
You tell me not to be perfect yet expect me to be
You put too much faith into me yet not enough
You pitty me when there's nothing to pitty
You celebrate me when there's nothing to celebrate
You fill my life with saddness when I am happy
You fill my life with joy when I am alone
You confuse me beyond comprehension
You darken my heart with every beat of yours
You sour my life and goals
You trapse on my heart and feelings
You are the one that I live for
You are the one I hold dear
You are the one I need when I am alone
You are the one I admire
You are a paradox
Yet you are mine

Dead Hands
07.14.04 (6:53 pm)   [edit]
Hey Peeps,

I know I've neglected this thing for awhile. Sorry I was going NON STOP from work to weekend. Even my weekend was FILLED with crap. I went straight from one place to another without a break and then straight back to work again! Then last night I was woken up by a thunderstorm several times so I'm really ready for my break anytime now. Plus in my camp we have a kid with ADHD and he's kind of a handfull, but the rest of the kids are lovely!

I wrte a poem that I'd like to share with you all!

Dead Hands

Your dead hands reach out and touch my body,
I feel nothing.
Your dead hands caress my skin,
I feel nothing.
Your dead hands embrace me,
I feel nothing.
Your dead hands try to touch my soul,
I feel nothing.
Your dead hands lay limp on my stomach,
I feel nothing.
Your dead hands try to scratch my back,
I feel nothing.
Your dead hands never strike me,
I feel nothing.
Your dead hands cause my heart pain,
I feel nothing.
Your dead hands are filled with love,
I feel nothing.
Your dead hands won't come alive again,
I feel nothing.

Last Day of Camp
07.09.04 (8:07 pm)   [edit]
The last day of the first camp is over, THANK GOODNESS! It's hard to be so happy all the time yet make sure 7 kids don't play in traffic. All in all they were good today until the last hour or so but I had a prep then anyway so I wasn't in charge of them. I felt bad for the other girl though! I'll be seeing some of them again next Tuesday for camp number 2. It sounds wierd but I feel yet I've just started that I'm almost done.

This weekend I have a surrpise party to go to and also a wedding. It should be awsome. Aslong as I get ALL of monday to recover I should be fine. I'll let you know how the wedding was etc...

Today I also got my hair cut. It is awsome so far! The lady made it all curly (Which I LOVE!) and it's layered all over. I was getting so tired of it being straight!

Well I have two days off then on to my next camp. I hope it's enough to recover!

Love ya!

My Day
07.07.04 (2:27 pm)   [edit]
Today was hectic. They cancled the trip do to lack of drivers and first after having to break it to the kids I had to break it to the coast gaurd (who was really nice) and to the parents (who seemed angry). Some of them asked if they could get money back even though it was a free trip.... hmmmmmmmm that makes no sense! Anyway I had to plan emergency crafts and all the kids wanted to do was play simon says all day and they didn't even play it right! Oh well.

Other than that I have two days left of camp and I'm done for this one. This weekend should take my mind of children. I don't know how anyone can deal with them. I'm so exhausted! Maybe you just have to get used to it like training for a marathon.... and this is only 7 kids I can't wait until I get 20 AHHHHHHHHHHH!

Since Forever...
07.06.04 (4:47 pm)   [edit]
WOW!

I know it has been forever since I've written in here but I'll try not to make it a habit. Work got really frigging busy as I started to wait for all of the camp kids. They arrived today with virtually no problems... however I did make a mistake on the permission forms so all the parents were confused but there are only a few parents so I straightened it out. With two kids not showing up we are running the camp with 7 kids. It's a pretty nice number and since I need less supplies and less spreading of my attention it's actually pretty good. Looks like none of my camps will be cancelled unless more people cancel from them and there is even a waiting list form one.

I'm going to my boyfriend's dad's wedding this weekend. It should be a nice affiar. I don't know anyone there but I got an AMAZING dress so I'm just too happy to care! It's black with tiny white poka dots. Apparently it looks vintage and my mom says I should wear it with pearls. I got a new bra to go with it too. I also got a couple of new shirts that I think are pretty good.

Wow last weekend I went to my dad's. We had pankcakes. I haven't had GOOD ones in awhile. No ones taste as good as his... except mine. He's going to France again soon but we had fun. We also saw the movie mean girls. All in all it was pretty good not as good as I'd heard but it was still good.

Well I'm looking forward to a couple of busy weeks with my first camp trip being tomorrow and the kids keep on comming! Love you all and I'll try not to neglect my blog like this again!

Other Ways to Celebrate Canada Day 2000

1. Surprise your friends by signing them up for the Canadian Alliance – especially if you live in Gaspe.
2. See how many more Americans will believe that our Prime Minister’s name is Jean Poutine.

5. Watch the part in South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut where Canada bombs the Baldwins. Repeat.
6. Form political party. Call it CRAP. Giggle.
7. Call Jean Chretien and challenge him to a no-holes-barred-Inuit-soa pstone-carving battle royal.
8. Read your Human Resources and Development Canada top secret file. Correct typos.
9. Memorize “The Rant” by heart. Scream it out as loud as you can! (You knew this was going to be in here somewhere…
10. Write a Canadian Top Ten List that shows your friends just how much of a political-geek you really are!

Secrets the Canadian Government Doesn't Want You to Know

Cabinet ministers get unlimited use of the Mountie Musical Ride to impress the cool people who ditched them in high school.

Every Thursday in the Senate is Free Buffalo Wings Day.
There's actually no such place as "Flin Flon."

Little-Known Facts In Canadian History

Technically, Rowdy Roddy Piper and Bret "the Hitman" Hart are also famous Canadian historical figures.

It's a fact: During the War of 1812, British and Canadian troops marched on Washington and burned down the White House.

It's a fact: During the War of 1812, British and Canadian troops marched on Washington and burned down the White House. (Just wanted to repeat that one for the benefit of our neighbours.)

First World War -- Canada enters in 1914, the U.S. enters in 1917. Second World War -- Canada enters in 1939, the U.S. enters in 1941. Conclusion: Don't mess with us.

July 2, 1867: Sir John A. Macdonald utters those stirring words that will forever be remembered by his fellow Canadians: "Me and the boys did what last night?"

The native guy who first told the British that beaver hats looked good on them was actually just pulling their legs -- fer cryin' out loud, they were hats made from beavers!

Secret documents have revealed that it was actually Canada that joined Newfoundland in1949. They just kept the name "Canada" because no one wanted the hassle of ordering new stationery.

Top Ten Reasons Alex Trebek Became a U.S. Citizen

Dying to show off how much he knows at the citizenship exam.

For 10th year in a row, lost Sexiest Canadian Alive to that bastard Alan Thicke.

Finally admitted to himself he's just not that interested in hockey.

HAPPY CANADA DAY
07.01.04 (9:30 am)   [edit]

So today is Canada Day. That makes it 137… we’re still babies and yet we’ve developed so much. I was going to do a general bitch about Canada and Canada and America etc… but I don’t think that’s very appropriate anymore. Instead I would just like to talk about modern Canada. Nothing about politics or it’s history just Canada as it is right now. Now we’ve all heard of “The British Invasion” in American music but right now I’d like to argue that’s pretty much a Canadian “invasion” going on. I mean take a look at your record collection (yes even you Americans) and most likely it’ll contain at least one Canadian if not more. There is a new boy rock band in town and I think Nickleback can take credit for starting this popular wave in music. This type of music usually comes from a band containing all male members and has a kind of rock, ballad thing going on. These bands include Nickleback, The Miniatures, The Trews and countless others. The Trews are even featured on a Budweiser commercial, which if I’m not mistaken, is an American beer. Other Canadian bands that have made significant headway in their genre of music are Big Sugar, Sum 41 and Our Lady Piece. This invasion doesn’t just seem to be in music however. There are also numerous film and television stars making waves in the US such as Elisha Cuthbert (The Girl Next Door 2004), Will and Jack from Will and Grace and Hayden Christensen. These are just a few stars in America that make hold Canadian Citizenship. You may say that’s because we have no music or acting industry of our own, but we have Alliance Atlantis and other production companies that make many “American Movies” possible. I also know of many movies shot in my hometown and around it with entire Canadian crews working on them. In music we have a HUGE indie scene with vary talented performers such as The Crawling Kingsnakes that will one day no doubt be famous. Here are just a few things we’ve contributed to American culture. Raberta Bondar (Our first woman astronaut in space and chancellor of Trent University in Peterborough), Chong from Cheech and Chong (Come on we know we couldn’t live without that) and Pamela Anderson (who at least we accept as an Icon of the late 20th century). These accomplishments would not be possible without Canadians along with a number of inventions we claim like The CPR Dummies, The First Blood Test, McPherson Gas Mask and The Pacemaker. These are just a few in the thousands of things we’ve contributed. I’ve never heard rumours we invented the Apple Pie and the First Flight (however I haven’t been able to prove these). Canadian Inventions . However out of all these things one thing instills confidence in me about the future of Canada and that was the last election. Come on admit it all the conservatives thought they would win and the liberals were shaking in their boots but Canadians came through and spoke up for what they wanted and to everyone who ever believed in human rights of money and power I think we can all rest a little easier (at least for awhile). So on this note Have a happy Canada Day and PLEASE if you are from the United States research a little about us! Come on if anything you should keep friends close but enemies closer and hec maybe you might learn not to hate so much and I will try to do the same (already started in fact) and if you are Canadian take a step back from yourselves and take this day to be damn proud of where you live.
